BLUECARD FOR THE ROAD TRANSPORT ONLINE OR CLASSROOM

Minimize

If you work in a New South Wales transport depot you will most likely need to have a BlueCard. To get a BlueCard you will need to undertake some theory training in Occupational Health and Safety for the workplace. This focuses on legislation, responsibilities of the employer, employee, duty or care, and the safety of visitors to the workplace. The training also covers personal protective equipment (PPE - vests and boots etc) evacuation plans, use of drugs and alcohol, use of equipment and driver exclusion zones.

Many accidents occur in transport depots due to the volume of traffic and the pace of work. The Blue Card is a validation process that ensures that a visiting truck driver knows his or her duty of care and that they know how to be safe and responsible in a freight depot.

Follow these steps:

  1. Complete an enrolment form (See below)
  2. Make payment of $145 includes card ($55)
  3. Must have a valid email address
  4. You will then be issued with a user ID and password.
  5. Complete your theory study online
  6. Complete your online assessment
  7. Contact the College on successful completion of assessment
  8. Bluecard will be posted to your nominated address
If you need your card urgently due to work requirements, contact us. The College of Warehousing can provide a letter confirming that you have either commenced or completed your Bluecard course but have not received your card.
