FATIGUE MANAGEMENT COURSES

The College of Warehousing has trained and assessed over 5,000 drivers and schedulers for many of Australia's largest transport companies. Courses are available online for individuals or in groups at your workplace.

FATIGUE FOR TRUCK DRIVERS - F10 - BFM (Basic Fatigue Management)

This short course is required for heavy vehicle drivers with a GVM over 4.5 tonnes and who drive interstate under NHVAS accreditation guidelines. The course is commonly known as the "F10" course for drivers. It is a Nationally Recognised unit of competency course code TLIF2010A Apply Fatigue Management Strategies. (The course code previously was TLIF1007C).

In September 2008 Fatigue Management Legislation was introduced all over Australia. This required heavy vehicle drivers to operate using a work diary which replaced the previous log book system. The course covers the legislation, diet, fitness for work, lifestyle, alcohol and drugs, medical conditions and sleeping disorders. Persons who successfully complete this course will be able to work 14 hours a day under NHVAS accreditation. The course fee is $180.00 (gst exempt).

FATIGUE FOR SCHEDULERS - F63 (Road Transport)

If you plan a heavy vehicle truck drivers work and rest, under legislation you need to complete a schedulers course. people who are defined as schedulers could be the traffic planner, fleet controller, transport manager or office persons working in a transport depot. To complete a scheduler's course you will need to have completed the truck drivers course as well as this course. The course provides guideance on work and rest requirements, record keeping, monitoring processes and compliance with the Six NHVAS standards. Our courses comply with the accreditation requirements.


FATIGUE MANAGEMENT FOR RAIL OPERATIONS

The College of Warehousing has designed a course suitable for the management of fatigue in train drivers that complies with national requirements. Contact us for details about this course. 


FATIGUE MANAGEMENT - GENERAL AWARENESS COURSE

To provide a safe workplace and safe systems of work, employers must be aware of their obligations to ensure that their staff are not suffering from work related fatigue. The same legislation requires employees to be fit for work. To ensure compliance our course covers generic fatigue management and strategies to manage it in the workplace. This is a Nationally Recognised qualification. Contact us for course details.
